Theoretically if you apply the update patch it should be business as usual the plan is that your existing license number will be magically replaced with the new license number. ACT! Users in versions older than v18: You are in danger of being permanently shut out of your existing ACT! product.The update is FREE and part of your current subscription. ACT! Subscription Users in v17: You should upgrade to a newer version prior to 1/1/19.ACT! Subscription Users in v 18- 20: You should apply the appropriate update patches will be released starting on 11/20/18 that must be applied prior to 1/1/19.However, being from Florida, land of the hurricanes, I like to be prepared and advise my clients to be as well.
